Like we already emailed you. What you’re experiencing is actually very common with our kip leather gloves, especially when they are brand new. The leather, palm liner, and finger stalls are all made from premium kip leather, which is intentionally much stiffer and tighter out of the box compared to softer game-ready gloves. Because of that, the glove can initially feel much smaller or tighter than other gloves of the same pattern and size.

The good news is that this is part of the break-in process and the glove will loosen and form to your hand over time. Once broken in, the fit becomes much more comfortable and customized to your hand specifically.

A few things that help speed this up:

Wearing the glove around the house while watching TV
Using a mallet on the palm and finger stalls
Playing catch regularly
Using a glove wrap overnight after working the glove
Kip leather gloves are designed to start very stiff because that structure and durability are what give them their long-term performance and shape retention.

We definitely want you to end up loving the glove once it’s broken in, so if after giving it some break-in time you’re still having concerns, let us know and we’ll continue working with you on it.
